Camden County Schools is proud to announce that it continues
to demonstrate high levels of achievement across all academic areas with the release of the
2023-2024 Student Accountability data from the North Carolina Department of Public
Instruction.
For a second year in a row, Camden County Schools is ranked number three in overall grade
level proficiency out of the 115 reporting North Carolina schools as well as being above the state
average for Grade Level Proficiency and College and Career Readiness in every test in grades
3 through 8.
For the third year in a row, Camden Early College High School earned a grade of A under the
accountability model with 93% of its students scoring proficient or higher on state assessments
and Camden Intermediate School and Camden County High School both earned a grade of B
under the accountability model. Every school met growth in subgroup performance for students
with students with disabilities and black students.
We are exceptionally proud of the gains in our math scores at the secondary level with
increases of 10% in both Math I and Math III from the 2022-2023 school year and Math I
exceeding the state proficiency by 35%.
Camden County Schools would also like to highlight our Career and Technical Education
program that earned 1,041 credentials in the 2023-2024 school year and demonstrated 87%
proficiency in CTE Proof of Learning.
These achievements reflect the commitment to excellence demonstrated by the staff, students,
and families of Camden County Schools.
